Happy Monday! As if you haven't already heard me talk about this enough, I'm getting married this week!! Saturday is the big day, so needless to say, this week will be a whirlwind (but a fun one). As promised, this week I'll be sharing some different wedding posts: my bridal showers (today), bachelorette party, and engagement photos. Post-wedding I'll do posts with all of the little details (jewelry, veil, mani, etc.), save-the-dates + invites, and of course, wedding photos!
Today I'm sharing about my bridal showers! I had two - one in Springfield where I'm from, and one in Lebanon, my new place of residence.
My first shower was held at my parent's house and my sister/maid of honor, mom and best friend (my other bridesmaid) threw it for me! It was a beautiful party that I shared with many close family friends.
A gorgeous centerpiece my sister put together with roses, glittered mason jars + candles, and framed engagement photos.
My bridesmaids! Haley on the left has been my best friend since we were freshmen in high school, and my sister Tessa is on the right.
This is my wonderful friend, Ashley, who drove down the night before the shower to help us decorate! She is an art teacher and is amazing at creating decor.
My full outfit for the shower!
Heels: Target (similar here & here) | Sash: Etsy (great shop with fully customizable sashes! mine was light pink with gold glitter ('future mrs. overstreet'))
The delicious brunch my mom put together! So light and colorful.
Another beautiful centerpiece by my sister!
These aren't the best photos, but we decorated around the house with pink pom poms, lights, and delicate coral + metallic gold garlands (found here)!
It was such a fun experience and I felt so loved!
My Lebanon shower was thrown by my soon-to-be sister-in-law Lesley, mother-in-law JoAnn, and a few other close friends. Trey is from Lebanon and nearly all of his family is there, but I've only lived here around a month or so! Despite that, I have already made so many wonderful friends and absolutely love all of Trey's family. It's a smaller town than I ever thought I would live in, but I love the close sense of community here.
The darling little drink station!
The most incredible and beautiful spread of treats!
How stinkin cute are these pettifors?? My [almost] mother-in-law JoAnn is incredible at baking and cake decorating, and she and Trey's brother's girlfriend, Hannah, decorated these!
I also thought this idea was precious!
A treasured photo with my [almost] nieces and nephew. I love these kids with all of my heart!
This is our very dear friend Sarah! She swims with my sister at Drury University and is from Australia. She's become like another sister to us! She was back home during my first shower, so I was so happy she got to be here for my second one.
And last but not least, my beautiful sister and maid of honor, Tessa! I truly don't know what I would do without her.
I hope you enjoyed my snapshots of my bridal showers! I had such a blast and loved the 'girliness' of it all! I cannot believe the wedding is nearly here, and am so excited to become a Mrs.
Thanks for reading, and check back for more wedding bliss all week! ;)
