A Day in San Francisco

It makes me so happy to be posting right now. I've missed the blogging world so much! I guess you don't realize how much you love something until it gets taken away from you. We still have no news about when we'll get a new laptop and camera, so in the meantime I'll be posting as much as possible with borrowed resources...which will be pretty touch and go.

I can't even describe how much it pained me to be in such beautiful places without my camera on our trip. Thankfully, the iPhone 6+ has a dang good little camera, so I still got to take tons and tons of photos, including many that I truly love and will always cherish.

We got home on Saturday after a 29-30 hour straight drive. In addition to an already long drive from San Diego to Southwest Missouri, we took a detour to the Grand Canyon (stunning, but my gosh it's a pain to get there), and then made stops to eat, etc. including a late night Denny's meal to fuel up for an overnight drive. Needless to say I'm happy to be home! Like, so so happy.

I have a kajillion photos from beautiful San Francisco that I'm breaking up into two posts. The following photos are from our first day there, which was beautiful and so fun...until the break-in of course. Details on our day and my outfit are at the bottom!

Top: LOFT (still available in blue; love this & this) | Jeans: AG (go down 1 size due to stretch) | Hat: Sole Society (similar)
Sunnies: Free People | Bag: H&M (similar in blush) | Sandals: H&M | Bracelet: Loren Hope

We did a ton our first day in San Francisco and it was a blast! When we drove into the area we grabbed a bite in Sausalito (so charming) and then found an amazing, less-traveled hill/mountaintop vista point (thanks to Mary-Katherine!) to look out over the Golden Gate Bridge and the city. It was stunning! We then drove and walked around the Marina District, oohing and ahhing over houses and eating delicious sandwiches from the Lucca Delicatessen on Chestnut St.

After lunch we did some more exploring and saw Coit Tower, Lombard Street, and just lots of other neighborhoods and adorable houses. We then headed to Golden Gate Park and explored there (the gardens were beautiful) before meeting up with two of my cousins. They showed us around the Wharf area before going to downtown/China Town...where some douche bags stole our sh*t. I'm still not over it if you can't tell... Don't ever bother going there - so not worth it!

All in all, it was a great day and we got to see a lot of the city, as well as spend time with my sister, our friend Sarah, my mom, and our cousins. Besides the obviously bad incident, we really did love SF!

As for my outfit... The forecast was a bit chilly for that day in SF (quite typical there I've learned), so I was safe and chose my new AG jeans + my favorite tee. It was a pretty simple look on its own, so I made it more interesting with blush accessories (sandals, bag & sunnies) and my gray hat! I loved how it turned out, and it was perfect for the weather that day. Also, I have to share how exceptionally comforable my AG jeans are. I usually don't love wearing jeans, but these were great for all of the walking and driving we did and I was never once uncomfortable! I can't wait to wear them in the fall with ankle boots too.
