This Month's Favorites

Can you believe it's already summer?? We had a super busy but fun Memorial Day weekend...it was the perfect mixture of relaxing at home and having fun with family and friends. On Saturday/Sunday I spent the night in Springfield to judge a national debate final (I did speech & debate in HS), shop, and hangout with family while Trey was in Oklahoma City to go to the Thunder/Warriors game with friends. And yesterday, I went on a hike with a friend, we worked around the house a bit, and the finished off the weekend with a fun dinner at a friend's house to watch the Thunder game. If only the Thunder hadn't lost both games and the series this weekend - so heartbreaking!! I know you all probably give zero you-know-whats about the NBA, but we are sports fanatics in our house ;)

Now, onto my favorite things and highlights from this month! I'm going to close my blog survey soon, so please please please chime in if you haven't already! I'm considering switching over these posts to more of a weekly/weekend format where I'd share favorite things from the week, great sales, etc., but that's also a big commitment, so I would so appreciate your opinion on that and some other things (it's anonymous)!

New Favorite Lip Color
This combo I discovered is absolutely perfect for summer because it's a nice, noticeable shade of pink without being a bright pink! I paired the Sephora Cream Lip Stain in #13 with my MAC lip pencil in 'soar' and they're perfect together and so long-wearing. I also think it would be flattering on just about anyone.  

Favorite Outfit Post
One of my favorite blog posts this month was this post featuring this little caged-back dress that's so simple & comfy, and just $15!

Favorite Beauty Finds
-Tarte Lights, Camera, Lashes 4-in-1 Mascara. The packaging may be hideous and bulky, but the mascara is volumizing, lengthening and doesn't flake off throughout the day!

-Colleen Rothschild Radiant Cleansing Balm (c/o). I've never tried another product that's as good at removing makeup! It also makes your skin feel silky smooth. I'll be sharing a coupon code in an upcoming post!

-It's a 10 Miracle Leave-In for Blondes (2 for $20 right now at the link!). This has helped tone, brighten, and condition my hair, and doesn't leave my fine hair with a weird texture like a lot of leave-ins do.

-I don't know about you, but I LOVE grilling in the summer! It's cooking that Trey actually likes to help with, and it makes your kitchen cleanup so much easier. Plus, the best part is hanging out on the patio, enjoying the warm weather and a cold drink! I loved this article with 15 awesome grilling recipes. I pinned about half of them I think!

May Highlights
May was such a busy month for us, but my highlights were definitely my sister's college graduation (quick brag: she was first in her senior class, graduated summa cum laude, and got into an amazing law school), and celebrating by taking her on a little sister trip to see Ellie Goulding (who is amazing live)! I loved celebrating my little sis and getting to spend time with her!
