Skirt | Phone Case | Hat
It may feel like a million degrees in August in Missouri, but I definitely have the fall transition on my mind. At this point of the summer I'm not buying anything super summery looking, and the pieces I am buying can be styled for right now and for fall. The best way to start transitioning, while still dressing temp appropriate, is definitely with your color palette and accessories! I'm forecasting navy and nude/taupe colors being really big this fall, along with the usual tan, olive green, brown and burgundy.
-Shoes, shoes, shoes - my favorite! The triple digit heat indexes these days are certainly not boot friendly, but sneakers and flats are totally doable! I'm finally going to buy myself some Stan Smiths this month, but I also love these sneakers for $25. Also, if I didn't already own lace-up flats I would totally have grabbed these from the #NSale - so chic!
-Hat lady vibes... So I haven't been wearing many hats lately, but it's because I've been holding out for the perfect ones in my price range. I'm pretty sure I could not pull this hat off, but I want to v badly (like Brooke did here). Also, I'm still lusting over every Janessa Leone hat, so nothing new over here. They're perfect...but so pricey.
-Clothes-wise... Off-the-shoulder tops and dresses are still going to be h-u-g-e all fall. I think the key is picking up styles in darker or at least solid colors, and perhaps pieces with a little bit longer sleeves. Then you can style them with a denim or suede skirt, or jeans, and accessorize with a hat and boots! I'm thinking about picking up this top in black because I think it could be dressed up or down really easily.
