I know I know, goals and resolutions are cheesy and you've probably read a million of them this week, but I love to put goals in writing and am a big believer in the power of positive thinking. I'm keeping it simple this year with 3 primary goals for growth in 2017.
1. Get Organized. To be perfectly honest with you, I seriously seriously struggle with cleaning and organization. I desperately want a tidy, organized house, but I feel like I can't keep up with things and we don't even have kids yet - which gives me anxiety! So, I have got to get better at this. I know a couple of steps will be to deal with papers as soon as they enter the house - filed, in-process or in the trash can. I also need to set a timer and pick up/clean something every night so the house doesn't get out of hand during the work week. I would love to know any of your tips and resources because I need all the help I can get!
2. Calm my Anxiety. I've been a stresser my entire life, but in the last year or two I seem to have developed a lot more anxiety. It's not because I'm not happy, because I truly am so happy with my life. But I really do have a hard time quieting my mind often times. So this year, I want to become more in-tune to my body and mind, and develop go-to calming practices that help to reduce my anxiety. I know this will benefit my health in many ways. Do you have any tips for this? I plan to do yoga and pilates more regularly, and am researching essential oils and meditation!
3. More Date Nights/Unplugged Time with Trey. This is something we improved on quite a bit this past year, but that I want to continue the momentum on. Even though we see each other every day, I think to have a healthy relationship that it's important to spend dedicated, quality time together as much as you can. I used to be on my phone all.the.time (it's hard to get off social media being apart of the blogging world), but I've gotten much better at putting it away when we're with family and friends, as well as with each other. We have lots of trips planned for this year, and some are simply an overnight trip a few hours away for a concert or just a getaway and fancy date. I want to take advantage of these opportunities as much as possible before we decide to start a family!

Beyond these overarching life goals, I have goals at work and with blogging, style resolutions, and targets for fitness and healthy eating. Goal setting is so empowering, yes?
What are some of your goals for this year? I absolutely love to learn what others' goals and resolutions are... I think it's a really interesting way to get to know someone!
